I'm Pepe and for love
on a Sunday I went to vote.
Afterwards I got the measles
and couldn't scratch myself.

And when my beloved says:
Oh! how expensive bread is!
I say to her, you voted
now you must stand it.

And who buys a house
in this risky trading
and my dear, no one
wants to fulfil their promises.

My mother made promises
and she didn't fulfil them either
and God promised life
and also gave death.

So, my darling,
when Mr. President
doesn't keep his promises
even God himself wants it.

Darling, I can't stand any longer
those foolish things you bring forward
what I want to tell you
is no longer pure fantasy.  

You told me when we got married
that I could choose whatever I wanted
and I watched and read and saw
and I realise at once
that the gentleman was ill.
