I'm
Pepe and for love
to the movies I've dedicated myself
because I wanted to teach
a way of dancing.
In
an instant I knew that
cinema was in a very poor condition the
script writers copied from
my grandmother, from their grandmother, and
the directors were
part of the production.
The
actors, envious of
winning and doing nothing, wanted
to be directors and
they forgot words.
Afterwards
an intimate friend
who will make me rich and famous,
told me about the budgets
and I almost went mad.
I
had said yes
to any machine
that rolls almost an hour
for 56 pesetas.
Yes,
yes, yes I want to be an actor
-they shouted by my side
with certain fervour-
yes, yes, yes I'm the producer.
The
director doesn't exist
because we know
that the movies world
has no direction.
With
certain nervousness
I asked for a bit of calmness.
I said it in a serene voice
thinking of the future.
The
future has been broken
the word broke it,
let's make from these pieces
a new future.
I
dedicate myself to cinema
may it be cursed or loved
and I will be pioneer
of the cinema that will come.
I
get a spin
with one word,
I break the windows
saying good-bye to you.
A
twist in the cinema
I usually get
with a word
which I place here.
And
those feelings
used by everybody
are mere merchandise
that the market publishes.
So
we are going to work
the whole reality
with new feelings.
And
if anyone rises into rebellion
and doesn't want to work
we will sculpt him a monument
which will talk about the past.
And
being the cinema so polite
we will make a raffle with love
and the one who is rewarded by luck
will stay with love through life.
And
nobody will live with him
but love
and nobody will dream of him
but love
and nobody, never anybody
will knock his window
asking if he desires
packed caresses.
Afterwards
some gentlemen
pretending to be rich
said they might buy
all of our truth.
About
cinema and football,
the way of loving,
the splendorous colour
of a picture chosen at random
poetry itself, they want to buy.
The
gentlemen with money
want to buy
all the mastery
which is in my soul.
And
that is already a motive
to struggle and struggle
generating a new cinema
that won't be convenient for anybody,
a thousand stories,
a thousand movies
and cinema will blow out.
With
the remaining pieces
we will write the history
of a cinema which wasn't able,
which didn't want freedom.
